Back in 2023, I was struggling to focus on keeping the gym running and keeping enough new adventurers in the door.
The problem was that at the time I was completely addicted to Facebook. I mean horribly so.
So I figured, the only thing I could do was to forgo this addiction of mine by banning the gym from using it to acquire clients.
The result was a significant improvement in some aspects of the service. I definitely learned a lot.
But we now have very active instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages. So what gives?
The Truth:
I still strongly believe that social media does far more negative for a person’s health than good.
There is nothing good about sitting in one position for a long time in any case, but these tools result in addictive behavior far worse than most drugs.
The thing is though, when used as a tool to pull people away from these apps for just a short moment— or even as a tool to get them motivated to no longer use the app, then your social media account can be utilized for a greater good.
At least that’s what I tell myself.
In any case, don’t believe any posts you see about us shutting down our Facebook account. We’re still there and it is for sure a good way to get ahold of us.
